The UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry has added Epic Wisdom at its clinics to combine its medical and dental records.
The school previously used axiUm dental software, according to a Dec. 20 news release. The transition to Epic included transferring five years of patient records and radiology data, customizing the system and conducting training workshops.
The move is part of a larger trend of dental organizations integrating medical care to improve overall patient wellbeing.
