Nashville, Tenn.-based SmileDirectClub recently made a donation to a mental health organization and started a fund for survivors of a recent shooting at its Nashville manufacturing facility.
The company announced the donation and fund in an Aug. 6 post on its Twitter page. The moves came after three of its employees were shot at the company's manufacturing building in Nashville Aug. 3.
The donation was made to Same Here Global, a New York City-based nonprofit dedicated to improving society's perception of mental health.
SmileDirectClub's survivor fund was launched on GoFundMe with a $25,000 donation. The company said the fund will be managed by its foundation and will be used to provide financial assistance to those affected by the shooting.
