Dental supply company Dentsply Sirona saw a 10.9 percent decline in fourth-quarter sales.
The company released its fourth-quarter financial results Feb. 28.
Here are six notes from the company's fourth-quarter financial report:
1. Dentsply Sirona brought in $3.9 billion in net sales in 2022, a 7.3 percent decrease compared to $4.2 billion for the full year of 2021.
2. Fourth-quarter sales amounted to $983 million, a 10.9 percent decrease from the fourth quarter of 2021.
3. Adjusted EBITDA for the full year of 2022 was $761 million, compared to $978 million in 2021.
4. Dentsply Sirona CEO Simon Campion called 2022 "a challenging year," but said the results exceeded expectations and were an important milestone as the company works to improve its performance and rebuild confidence among investors and employees.
5. The company expects to bring in between $3.85 billion and $3.95 billion in full year 2023 net sales.
6. Dentsply Sirona recently announced its $165 million restructuring plan to improve operational performance, which includes reducing its global workforce, implementing five global business units, creating a senior vice president of quality and regulatory role, and simplifying its management structure.
