Dental supplier Dentsply Sirona terminated Chief Accounting Officer Ranjit Chadha, effective Sept. 2, and is replacing him with Richard Wagner.
Six notes:
1. Mr. Chadha will remain an inactive employee of Dentsply Sirona until his termination date but is expected to remain available for executive transition requests, according to an Aug. 4 news release filed with the Securities And Exchange Commission.
2. On Aug. 9, the dental supplier hired Mr. Wagner as its new chief accounting officer as well as its principal accounting officer, effective Aug. 15.
3. Mr. Wagner joins the company from his former roles as chief accounting officer and vice president and corporate controller of medical supplier Hillrom Holdings.
4. From 2011 to 2017, Mr. Wagner served as vice president and corporate controller of Dentsply International and was present during its merger with Sirona Dental Systems in 2016.
5. The appointment comes as the company deals with an internal investigation regarding financial reporting by current and former employees of the company.
6. The investigation, launched in March, prevented the company from filing its first- and second-quarter financial reports with the SEC.
