Here are five dental supply company leaders to know:
1. Amir Aghdaei. President and CEO of Envista. Mr. Aghdaei has led Envista since its spinoff from parent company Danaher in 2019. He has overseen the company through several ventures, including its acquisition of Carestream's intraoral scanner business, the rebranding of its dental imaging business and FDA clearance of artificial-intelligence-guided features for its DTX Studio Clinic software.
2. Larry Cohen. Chief Customer Advocate at Benco Dental. Mr. Cohen joined Benco Dental in 1959 and is the second-generation owner of Benco Dental Company, following his father Benjamin Cohen, who founded Benco in 1930. He is the founder of the American Dental Cooperative and on the board of the American Dental Trade Associate and several ADTA committees.
3. Vafa Jamali. President and CEO of ZimVie. Mr. Jamali is the newly appointed leader of ZimVie, Zimmer Biomet's dental and spine spinoff. He has more than 25 years of experience in the medical device industry. He spent six years at Medtronic, where he served as senior vice president and president of early technologies and senior vice president and president of respiratory, gastrointestinal and informatics. He also held leadership roles at healthcare product and service companies such as Covidien, Cardinal Health and Baxter.
4. Stanley Bergman. Chair and CEO of Henry Schein. Mr. Bergman has led the dental and medical supply company since 1989. He serves as a board member or adviser for several institutions, including the New York University College of Dentistry in New York City; the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia and the Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. He is also a recipient of multiple awards, including the 2017 CEO of the Year award by Chief Executive Magazine.
5. Tim Rogan. President of Patterson Dental. Mr. Rogan was appointed president of Patterson Dental in July 2021 after serving as the company's senior vice president and general manager. He has been with the company for nearly 30 years.
