Dental supply company Envista received FDA 510(k) clearance for an "assisted intelligence"nerve tracing feature in its DTX Studio Clinic software.
The FDA clearance accompanies other AI-guided features on the company's imaging and diagnostic software, including a 3D virtual tooth setup algorithm and automatic tooth position identification, the company said March 28.
Envista CEO Amir Aghdaei said the DTX Studio Clinic software reduces time clinicians spend on clinical tasks, allowing more time to focus on the patient while helping to reduce complications.
