Providence, a health system based in Renton, Wash., and Newberg, Ore.-based A-dec, a dental equipment manufacturer, have launched a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination site with the goal of inoculating 2,000 people every Saturday, reports local NBC affiliate KGW8.
The site launched April 3 in Newberg and about 500 patients received a vaccine. By April 10, the site will have the capacity to vaccinate about 2,000 people a week, according to KGW8.
"There was a need in the community for a mass vaccination site," Mariah Robbins, vice president of global human resources at A-dec, told KGW8. "And we've got a 50-acre campus, so it worked out perfectly."
The vaccine clinic will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday starting April 10.
