Mesa (Ariz.) Community College received full accreditation for its dental hygiene program from the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
In the college's program, students learn about various hygiene therapies, how to perform preliminary dental assessments and how to take radiographs, according to an Oct. 3 news release from the school.
The Commission on Dental Accreditation develops and implements accreditation standards to ensure quality and improvement of dental education programs and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
The accreditation runs through 2029, the release said.
