Dental insurer to layoff 450+ employees: 3 things to know

Federal employee health and dental insurance provider GEHA is planning to lay off more than 450 employees at its headquarters in Lee's Summit, Mo., according to an Oct. 22 report by KMBZ

Here are three things to know:

1. GEHA stated that 453 employees at its headquarters will be affected by the layoffs. 

2. Employee separations are expected to start Dec. 31, with an additional round in March or April 2025. 

3. The company is anticipating the layoffs to be permanent.
