Cigna launches new payment option for out-of-pocket dental expenses

Cigna partnered with Paytient to provide health plan members with another payment option for out-of-pocket dental care.

Cigna Healthcare dental plan members can enroll in Paytient's service and be issued a virtual credit card with a credit line of up to $2,000, according to a news release from Cigna.

Patients can use the health payment account card to pay dental bills over time with no interest or fees.

The program is currently available to employer clients that have at least 3,000 covered members. Cigna plans to expand the Paytient program to more employer clients next year, the release said.
