The state of Tennessee is intending to award Renaissance Life and Health Insurance Company of American the contract to become the dental benefits manager of TennCare, the state's Medicaid program.
More than 1.5 million children and adults receive dental coverage through TennCare, according to a May 30 news release.
Renaissance's platform processes nearly 40 million claims annually and manages more than 23 million total members.
The contract is expected to go into effect July 1, 2025, the release said.
