Dental software company Henry Schein One has begun processing claims with a new clearinghouse after a cyberattack on a third-party vendor affected its ability to process insurance claims.
Change Healthcare, a revenue cycle management subsidiary of Optum, was hit with a cyberattack that has been ongoing since Feb. 21. The cyberattack is affecting dental, medical and pharmaceutical companies, including dentists' abilities to process claims, the ADA said Feb. 27.
Henry Schein One said Feb. 26 that it established an alternative method of processing claims within 48 hours of learning about the cyberattack to support its customers' revenue streams.
The company is also offering short-term credit lines to customers facing temporary financial strains and complimentary patient communication statements through its Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend platforms.
