1. Seyed Hamid Tofigh, DDS, was ordered to pay $8.5 million in restitution for Medicaid fraud.
2. The Nebraska legislature advanced a bill that would increase reimbursement for dental Medicaid services.
3. The Texas Supreme Court is considering sending a $16 million Medicaid fraud judgment against a Dallas dentist back to a trial court.
4. The operator of Floss Family Dental Care clinic in Houston pleaded guilty to a $6 million Medicaid fraud and kickback scheme.
5. The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry received a nearly $1 million grant to examine the effect Virginia's Medicaid dental policies have on access and use of care.
6. A California dentist and his former billing manager were sentenced for Medicare fraud.
