More than 22% of adults in the U.S. between the ages of 19 and 64 did not have any kind of dental insurance in 2021, according to research from the American Dental Association's Health Policy Institute.
The report, which was published in November, collected data on adult's dental insurance coverage from 2002 through 2021. The percentage of uninsured adults has decreased, as 31.8% were uninsured in 2002 and 22.8% did not have coverage in 2021.
