Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, which has served as legal counsel to Delta Dental of California, was hit with a cyberattack.
Between Feb. 28 and March 13, an unauthorized third party accessed a portion of the law firm's network and files that contained personal and protected health information, according to a July 20 news release.
Information that may have been accessed includes names, addresses, dates of birth, dental insurance policies, healthcare provider information and limited dental diagnoses and treatment-related information.
The cyberattack did not impact any of Delta Dental of California's network or systems, the release said.
