Delta Dental of Illinois has named Rheaana Guess as its vice president, people and diversity officer, according to a June 21 news release obtained by Becker's.
"This new position reflects how important diversity, equity and inclusion are to Delta Dental of Illinois as we further our mission to improve the overall health and well-being of those we serve," said John Maples, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Illinois.
Ms. Guess will oversee human resources at Delta Dental of Illinois and its subsidiary companies. She will also be responsible for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to continue fostering an inclusive culture that will attract, hire and retain a diverse workforce.
Ms. Guess has a bachelor's, master's and law degree from Evanston, Ill.-based Northwestern University, along with more than 15 years of experience in labor and employment law.
Delta Dental of Illinois is one of 39 member companies that make up the Delta Dental system.
