The Family Health La Clinica health center recently received a grant to extend its dental care for uninsured and low-income Wisconsin residents, according to the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen.

1. Family Health La Clinica is a community health center with two offices — one in Mauston, Wis., and one in Wautoma, Wis. — and one mobile medical unit that travels throughout the state.
2. The grant's funding is from the Affordable Care Act’s Community Health Center Fund.
3. The funds will go toward developing a new site in Beaver Dam, Wis., and hiring additional dental staff.
4. The grant emphasizes helping the residents of Beaver Dam reach dental care, since the town is more than an hour away from the clinic's other two established locations.
