Massachusetts-based Great Hill Dental Partners welcomed orthodontist Moira Casey, DMD, to its team. She earned her doctor of dental medicine from Boston-based Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
The Academy of Implant Dentistry honored Jack Hahn, DDS, for his lifetime of achievements. Dr. Hahn developed the original tapered implant and is well-known for creating the NovelReplace dental implant.
Craig Arive, DDS, will spend seven days in Haiti providing free dental care to local residents. Dr. Arive practices at Arive Family Dental in Anderson, Ind. He will travel with two other Indiana dentists.
On Feb. 27, Tennessee dentists David Snodgrass, DDS, and Matthew King, DDS, will provide free dental care for Mt. Juliet residents. At last year's Free Dental Day, the dentists provided $200,000 in dental treatment, according to The Wilson Post.
Bruno Sharp, DDS, of Miami-based Prosthodontic Dentistry, is donating 1,000 tubes of his Wild Berry Kids toothpaste to Operation Smile. Dr. Sharp created a line of oral hygiene products including children's toothpaste, adult toothpaste, fresh mint mouthwash and dental tape, according to The Stewardship Report.
