5 things to know about Hu-Friedy's new Cleaning Monitors

Hu-Friedy, a manufacturer of dental instruments and products, introduced its new Cleaning Monitors.

Here are five things to know:

1. The Cleaning Monitors are the most updated addition to its Instrument Management System Cleaning & Care Product Line.

2. The Cleaning Monitors make the cleaning process more efficient when using washer-disinfectors and ultrasonic cleaners.

3. Equipped with specific monitor strips and a reusable holder, the Cleaning Monitor's strips have a test soil that imitates blood and tissue found on an instrument following usage.

4. Although current standards to determine an instrument's cleanliness entail ensuring the instrument is visibly clean, not all components and tissue are easily visible. The Cleaning Monitors provide more insight into a cleaning process’ effectiveness.

5. "With more than 30 years of experience delivering infection prevention solutions to our customers, Hu-Friedy understands the importance of the first step in instrument reprocessing," said Ken Serota, president, Hu-Friedy. "Our easy to use and easy to interpret Cleaning Monitors offer a cost-effective way for clinicians to monitor the cleaning process to ensure they are providing the highest level of care to their patients."
