Connecticut Mini Mission of Mercy sponsored a free dental clinic in East Lyme on Oct. 11, according to Fox CT.
Here are four takeaways:
1. The event was held at East Lyme High School and served nearly 400 patients.
2. Approximately 600 volunteers administered care to residents.
3. Dental volunteers served patients on a first come, first serve basis.
4. Most patients attending the free clinic cannot afford dental care because of a lack of insurance.
