Midmark, a dental equipment manufacturer, is supporting the 2015 Fall for Smiles Campaign, according to Dayton Daily News.
Here are four things to know:
1. The campaign runs through the end of October.
2. Fall for Smiles motivates Americans to maintain their oral health through daily brushing, flossing, regular visits to the dentist, a health diet and steering clear of tobacco products.
3. Studies show a direct link between poor oral health and various chronic health conditions. Therefore, the campaign is working to enhance our nation's overall health through its dental health initiative.
4. Approximately 10,000 Americans are reaching retirement each day and do not have dental coverage through Medicare.
