1. The University's Department of Chemistry and Dental School devised the technology that makes teeth more resistant to decay.

2. The technology utilizes specially-formulated, non-staining nanoparticles.

3. The new invention does not discolor teeth unlike other available products that turn teeth black.

4. Otago Innovation licensed the rights to the technology to a global dental manufacturer for more product development.
