Carrigan Parish, DMD, and a team of researchers at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health conducted a study focusing on dental screenings for drug misuse. The findings indicated that 77 percent of dentists ask patients about illicit drug use and 54 percent of dentists believe drug screenings should be their responsibility.
Todd Jones, DDS, is retiring after serving the Northern Hills community, located in South Dakota, for the last 38 years, according to Black Hills Pioneer.
Melissa Jarrell, DDS, is hosting the second annual Smiles for Vets in conjunction with Dentistry from the Heart at Jarrell Dentistry on Sept. 11. Dr. Jarrell and other dentists will provide free dental care to nearly 100 veterans in Howard County, Ind., according to kokomoperspective.com.
