1. Martin Zase, DMD, MAGD, of Colchester (Conn.,) Dental Group, received a lifetime achievement award from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
2. Duy Nguyen, DDS, along with his wife Vendy Kong, opened a practice in Pacifica, Calif. Dr. Nguyen focuses on reversing small cavities by using the CAMBRA method, reports San Jose Mercury News.
3. Nick Jakubovics, a lecturer at Newcastle University's School of Dental Sciences in the United Kingdom, spoke with University of Michigan News, about a need to control dental plaque. Researchers at the University of Michigan and Newcastle University found the amino-acid Arginine breaks down dental plaque.
4. Mark Durham, DMD, of University of Utah's School of Dentistry, was featured on KSL Utah for how he teaches his students to diagnose and assess health by looking at their mouth.
5. Kyle Gernhofer, DDS, of Mission Boulevard Dental in San Diego, was featured on ABC 10 for creating a dating app that lets you rate your dates.
6. The American Dental Association is featuring online courses by Lee Ann Brady, DMD, including "Occlusal Appliances in Restorative Practice."
