Root canals, implants and same-day crowns are among some of the favorite services dentists enjoy providing patients.
Three dentists recently spoke with Becker's about why these services are their favorite.

Hussam Askar, DDS. Alpha Dental Center (Massachusetts): I find the process of performing a single dental implant placement using the guided surgery technique to be truly fulfilling. This approach guarantees precise positioning and optimal angles for the implant, significantly enhancing its long-term viability. Moreover, patients deeply appreciate the restoration of their missing tooth through an exact replica. The guided placement method not only streamlines the procedure but also minimizes potential complications and ensures smoother healing outcomes.
Huzefa Kapadia, DDS. Kapadia Dental Care (Waterford, Mich.) and Detroit Sterling Dental: I love doing molars and just root canals in general, or taking out a difficult tooth to alleviate [patients'] pain. I've noticed a lot of general dentists don't like doing root canals, so that procedure has helped me build a practice.
Krista Kappus, DDS. Fitch Mountain Dental (Healdsburg, Calif.): It's hard to choose. I really enjoy same-day crowns as it's just a lot of fun to take someone who comes in with a broken tooth and have them leave completely back to normal in an hour and change. I've also really enjoyed Botox. I've had a number of patients with debilitating jaw pain and nerve issues which are almost immediately solved with a quick injection.
