New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 has experienced a large amount of growth this year, opening its 100th practice in September.
The DSO, which was named one of the fastest growing companies by Inc., also acquired multiple companies and added several leaders to its team. In August, Senior Vice President of Clinical Affairs and head of its oral surgery division Joshua Gish, DDS, described the company as a "high speed bullet train" with no signs of slowing down.
Dental365's COO Terri Krauss recently spoke with Becker's about the goals for the company and herself.

Question: What goals do you have for yourself and your dental practice/organization in 2023?
Terri Krauss: This past year has been an incredible year of growth, both personally and professionally. I am looking forward to a fantastic year ahead! This year we selectively scaled our support services so that we are prepared for both additional affiliations and de novo expansion in new markets. While we are mindful of forecasts that predict some economic slowdown, our plans for expansion remain optimistic. I realistically expect to see our company hit over 200 supported practices by the end of 2023. In order to achieve this, we will be focused on the following goals:
- Focus on developing the next generation of leaders for our business. As we expand across the region, having team leaders in place that share our passion for excellence will be key to our growth.
- Continuing to build out our training and development platforms, with content specific to both the roles our team members play, but also their growth and development.
- Foster a culture that is supportive and recognizes and rewards the hard work and commitment to excellence across our teams.
- Continue to identify and implement technology and resources that empower our teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes. For example, this year we have added AI (Overjet) to our supported practices. We fully expect innovation will allow us to more effectively and efficiently treat dental disease.
Having a wellness plan for 2023 ensures I am going to bring my personal best to be present for both my family and my work family every day. While I am pretty good at taking care of myself, I commit the beginning of each year to scheduling my regular checkups and exams. I also carve out time with my spouse and our children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Starting each day with a period of reflection and gratitude ensures I am ready to meet any challenges head on.
