Jae Hyun Park, DMD, PhD, was selected to be the next editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and AJO-DO Clinical Companion, effective June 1.
Dr. Park will succeed Rolf Behrents, DDS, PhD, who has held the position since 2013 and will retire at the end of Fiscal Year 2024-25, according to a Feb. 17 news release.
Dr. Park is a professor and chair of the postgraduate orthodontic program at the A.T. University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Ariz. He is also an adjunct professor at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
Dr. Park previously served as deputy editor of both journals from 2020 until 2023, when he became the deputy editor-in-chief of both publications. He is also the editor-in-chief emeritus of the Journal of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and has served on the editorial boards of numerous international journals.
Additionally, Dr. Park serves as the 2024-25 president of the American Board of Orthodontics.
