The Touro College of Dental Medicine in Albuquerque, N.M., appointed Joseph Parkinson, DDS, as executive assistant dean, according to a Jan. 12 report from Los Alamos Reporter.
Dr. Parkinson will lead all aspects of operations and clinical training programs at the dental school. He will directly report to Ronnie Myers, DDS, dean of the Touro College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Parkinson has more than 15 years of experience in dental education, most recently serving as interim associate dean of clinical affairs at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis.
The college will be the first dental school in New Mexico and is currently under construction. TCDM New Mexico will house more than 100 dental units, the report said.
