Dr. Mehra is chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Boston Medical Center. He is also a professor and chair of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, according to a Nov. 21 news release from the ABOMS.
Dr. Mehra has served on the organization’s board of directors for seven years.
He takes over the role from Bernard Costello, DMD, MD, the release said.
