5 dental leaders retiring in 2022

Here are five dental leaders who have retired or have plans to retire this year that Becker’s has reported on since Jan. 19:

1. Convergent Dental founder and CEO Mike Cataldo retired July 18.

2. Timothy Constantine, president and CEO of United Concordia Dental, will retire at the end of 2022.

3. Wendell Edgin, DDS, who served as president of several dental organizations and formerly served as a consultant to the U.S. surgeon general, is retiring after 42 years of practice.

4. Steven Friedrichsen, DDS, dean of the Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, Calif., retired July 1.

5. James Kunkemoeller, president and CEO of Great Lakes Dental Technologies, will retire Oct. 31.
