The American Dental Association has promoted Dave Preble, DDS, to the role of chief strategy officer and senior vice president of its practice institute, effective immediately.
Dr. Preble has served as the ADA's senior vice president of its practice institute since 2018, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In his new role, Dr. Preble will work with leaders, national organizations and ADA agencies to implement a unified strategy to benefit oral health in the U.S., according to a June 2 news release. He is also tasked with overseeing and working with heads of five ADA agencies, covering education, government affairs, the health policy institute, the practice institute and science. He will continue to provide direction and leadership of the ADA's practice institute, including the Center for Dental Benefits, Quality and Coding; the Center for Dental Practice Policy; and the Center for Informatics and Standards.
Dr. Preble has been with the ADA for 16 years, serving in multiple roles such as director of council on dental benefit programs and director of the commission on dental accreditation.
