A Washington dentist was named founding dean of a dental school and six other dental leadership moves from last week:
1. Laurie McCauley, DDS, PhD, was appointed university provost and vice president of academic affairs of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
2. Fotinos Panagakos, DMD, was named the founding dean of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences upcoming dental school in Yakima, Wash.
3. Henry Schein promoted Jennifer Ferrero to vice president, senior counsel and corporate secretary.
4. Atlanta-based DSO Benevis named Bryan Carey as its next CEO.
5. Irvine, Calif.-based orthodontics company InBrace tapped board member Clint Carnell to be its next CEO.
6. Oryx Dental founder Rania Saleh, DDS, was appointed to the advisory board of the Women in DSO nonprofit.
7. Nader Nadershahi, DDS, dean of University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, was selected as chair of the American Dental Education Association's board of directors.
