The Zachary (La.) City Council approved the construction of a new Aspen Dental building, The Advocate reported Dec. 20.
The proposed 3,500-square-foot practice is slated to be built on the site of a former car wash. Concerns were raised about the office bringing more traffic to an already busy area and obstructing drivers’ view because of the building's size.
The city council voted to waive certain requirements for the building and changed the property’s zoning classification from commercial neighborhood to commercial general.
