Here are 17 DSOs that accomplished major milestones in 2024, including network expansions, new programs and technology innovations.
1. Dallas-based MB2 Dental expanded its network into five states in 2024: Iowa, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Vermont and West Virginia. It also underwent its third recapitalization event in the past seven years and closed on a $2.34 billion unitranche debt facility to fund acquisitions and future growth.
2. Jonesboro, Ark.-based GPS Dental entered Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico and New Jersey.
3. Little Rock, Ark.-based Rock Dental Brands secured $90 million in private equity funding to fuel its expansion efforts.
4. Hackensack, N.J.-based Max Surgical Specialty Management reached 25 practice locations and expanded its surgeon network by nearly 60% in 2024.
5. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners added its 100th practice.
6. Dallas-based Beacon Oral Specialists hit 100 offices in September after partnering with two practices in California and Florida.
7. Greenwood Village, Colo.-based ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers opened its 100th office in Rochelle Park, N.J.
8. Dallas-based DECA Dental Group launched a joint venture ownership program for dentists under its Ideal Dental brand.
9. Richmond Hill, Ga.-based SGA Dental Partners received a new $350 million credit facility.
10. Dental Care Alliance partnered with dental artificial intelligence company Overjet to implement AI technology across its network of more than 400 practices. It also partnered with EMS Dental to become the first large-scale DSO to launch guided biofilm therapy to its network.
11. St. Louis-based Oral Surgery Partners secured a credit expansion of $75 million in June and a credit expansion of $400 million in January.
