Over a dozen DSOs have expanded their networks in states along the eastern coast within the last few months, including Heartland Dental, Dental365 and Affordable Care.
Here are over 20 DSO affiliations that have taken place since June:
1. Sacramento, Calif.-based Straine Dental Management made its first additions in Maine by affiliating with three practices owned by Shilo Annis, DMD.
2. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management added its first practice in New Hampshire. It also added Southwind Oral & Facial Surgery & Implant Center in Hutchinson and Wichita, Kan.
3. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 acquired Florham Park (N.J.) Dental Excellence and The Art of Dentistry and Spa in Somerset, N.J. In July, the DSO also acquired two locations in New Jersey, one in Pennsylvania and one in New York. In June, it acquired its fourth office in Connecticut.
4. Great Neck, N.Y.-based The Smilist added Hirshberg Wozny Dental Care, which has two offices in Boston and Wellesley, Mass.
5. Sharon, Mass.-based Qualitas Dental Partners added three Rhode Island dental practices to its network.
6. Dallas-based MB2 Dental partnered with a dental practice in Rockville Centre, N.Y.
7. Richmond Hill, Ga.-based SGA Dental Partners acquired the dental practice of James Wilson, DDS, located in Shelby, N.C.
8. Morrisville, N.C.-based Affordable Care opened an Affordable Dentures & Implants office in Annapolis, Md.
9. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental affiliated with Queens Road Dentistry in Charlotte, N.C.
