Chicago-based Aspen Dental has more than 1,030 affiliated practices across 45 states, supporting nearly 2,000 dentists.
Here are six updates on the DSO so far in 2022:
- Aspen Dental partnered with the Dental Assisting National Board and its affiliate organization, the Dale Foundation, to invest in dental radiography training and credentials for dental assistants in the Aspen Dental network.
- The DSO is committed to training 700 dentists in implant procedures this year as part of its ongoing training program. As of April 7, the DSO already had trained more than 1,400 dentists on dental implant services since December 2020.
- Aspen Dental announced all its offices will be fully digital by early 2023.
- Bob Fontana, founder and CEO of Aspen Dental, was named to CEO Forum Group's "Top 10 CEOs Transforming Healthcare in America" list, according to Forbes.
- Aspen Dental made public that it will open an oral health center for underserved patients in Chicago in summer 2022. The Oral Care Center for Excellence will provide free dental care and procedures to Illinois residents.
- The DSO gave free dental care to more than 3,000 military veterans and their families during the eighth annual Aspen Dental Day of Service on June 11.
