Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance has reorganized its structure with the addition of a second support division for specialty dental practices.
The DSO said in a June 15 news release the division was created to reflect the diversity and unique needs of its practices. The addition will focus on growth and support of adult specialties including endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery.
The new model coincides with DCA's family specialty division supporting orthodontics and pediatric dentistry and its general dentistry division. Each division will also have their own management teams, with the DSO tapping Sarah Balaster, DMD, to serve as chief dental officer for adult specialty and hygiene.
Dental Care Alliance supports more than 370 allied practices in 21 states.
