From practice affiliations to employee advancement opportunities, here are 13 DSO moves from May:
1. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners added Sandcrest Dental Health Associates in Columbus, Ind., to its network. It also added practices in Arizona, California and Wisconsin.
2. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Endo Partners added practices in Oregon, Ohio and Missouri.
3. Morrisville, N.C.-based Affordable Care opened three practices in Michigan and Illinois.
4. Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance welcomed its first practice affiliation of 2022 with the addition of Old Bridge (N.J.) Dental Group to its network. It also opened its 12th Dental Associates of Florida location in Sun City, Fla.
5. Sage Dental acquired two practices and opened four new locations in Georgia and Florida, bringing it to 82 practices.
6. Heartland Dental has added 37 practices to its network since the beginning of 2022.
7. Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental & Orthodontics opened three dental offices in California. It also acquired Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners, a DSO with 215 dental offices.
8. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 acquired two Rhode Island dental practices, marking the 95th and 96th practices under its parent organization, Premiere Dental Care Management.
9. Three DSO leaders spoke with Becker's about how they keep dentist autonomy top of mind.
10. Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Peak Dental Services' Amber Collins was included on Onconference's "Top 50 COO" list for 2022. Peak Dental Services also launched an opportunity for its hygienists nationwide to become owners.
11. Raleigh, N.C.-based Oakpoint added endodontic services to its roster through partnerships with two practices. It also acquired the nonclinical assets of Wendell (N.C.) Family Dentistry.
12. Smile Doctors announced it reached 324 supported clinics.
13. Tampa, Fla.-based DSO Today's Dental Network offered certified training on 3Shape's newest scanner, Trios4, to doctors and their staff in its network.
