Four growing DSOs have recently made moves to expand their practices, bring in new leadership and enhance the skill set of their staff.
Here are six updates from four DSOs with fewer than 300 practices:
Today's Dental Network (Tampa, Fla.)
Today's Dental Network most recently provided training on 3Shape's newest scanner, Trios4, to doctors and their staff in its network. The two-day training informed members on how to use the scanner for restorative dentistry and edentulous patients. In April, the DSO added its second oral surgery partner.
Gen4 Dental Partners (Tempe, Ariz.)
Gen4 Dental Partners recently added three Minnesota practices to its network, bringing it to 17 affiliated practices. In April, the DSO added former Rite-Aid exec Rob Mullins as its COO.
Select Dental Management (Florham Park, N.J.)
Select Dental Management added four practices to expand its network and specialty services. The additions expand Select Dental's specialty services to include sleep apnea treatment and sedation dentistry.
Great Lakes Dental Partners (Chicago)
Great Lakes Dental Partners added Chicago-based Associates for Dental Care to its affiliated network. The DSO said it is actively seeking partnerships with Midwest dental practices, including owner dentists looking to partner with experts to grow their practices.
