Five entrepreneurial DSOs to know, in alphabetical order:
Lollipop Dental Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics (Placentia, Calif.). Lollipop Dental Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics consists of specialist-only practices. Its goal is to make its dental offices feel like a second home and safe place for all children. The DSO currently has three practice locations in Costa Mesa, Garden Grove and Placentia, with one coming soon in Cerritos, all in California.
NAK Dental Group (Tallahassee, Fla.). Nak Dental Group supports five locations throughout Northwest Florida. The dental provider organization was founded by Nathan Kupperman, DMD, in 2018. NAK Dental Group offers management services, affiliation and partner ownership opportunities for dentists nationwide.
New England Dental Partners (Bourne, Mass.). New England Dental Partners was built for dentists by dentists. The organization aims to improve dentists' and patients' lives daily. It currently has 15 partners throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
ProHealth Dental (New Hyde Park, N.Y.). ProHealth Dental was founded in 2015. The organization believes in integrating oral health and overall health, and clinically affiliates with medical providers to collaborate on care. It has 16 offices throughout New York and New Jersey.
Swish Dental (Austin, Texas). Swish Dental was founded in 2017 by Viraj Desai, DMD. The DSO's two main goals are to change the way people feel about the dentist and empower women in dentistry. It has 12 studio locations in Texas.
