The Aspen Group made several moves this year to expand its national footprint and provide new services in the dental industry.
The Chicago-based company operates more than 1,100 locations in 45 states, including Aspen Dental, one of the largest DSOs in the U.S.
Here is what the company accomplished in 2021:
1. Aspen Dental partnered with dental software provider MyLabConnect in December to help Aspen Dental offices collaborate with dental labs in real time
2. The company added SprintRay's 3D printing technology to its Aspen Dental locations in October.
3. In September, the Aspen Group partnered with Switzerland-based Straumann Group to offer dental implants and prosthetic solutions at its Aspen Dental and ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers.
4. In August, the group partnered with medical technology company Forward Science to provide a line of oral rinses at Aspen Dental practices.
5. Aspen Dental opened its fifth New Jersey practice in August.
6. In June, Aspen Dental opened its 900th U.S. practice in Pennsylvania.
7. The company launched its doctor-guided, same-day clear aligners in June.
8. In May, the company earned the Program Approval for Continuing Education designation from the Academy of General Dentistry.
9. The Aspen Group announced a partnership in May with Fargo, N.D.-based Rejuv Medical Aesthetic Clinic to launch a national brand of medical aesthetic clinics.
10. Aspen Dental opened its 25th Missouri practice in April.
11. In March, the DSO opened its 100th Florida practice, led by Vadim Vankov, DMD.
