1. 42 North Dental appoints chief marketing officer, CFO
Waltham, Mass.-based DSO 42 North Dental appointed Diane Vaccaro as chief marketing officer and Thomas Brouillard as CFO.
2. Lightwave selects new president
Woodbridge, Va.-based dental leadership organization Lightwave announced the promotion of David Wurtzbacher to president Sept. 1. Mr. Wurtzbacher joined Lightwave in 2017 as CFO.
3. Dental Care Alliance adds 30th Texas practice
Sarasota, Fla.-based DSO Dental Care Alliance recently gained its 30th practice affiliation in Texas with the addition of Grapevine Dental to its network.
4. US Oral Surgery Management snags first Oregon partnership
Irving, Texas-based management services company U.S. Oral Surgery Management entered the Oregon market with the addition of Columbia Oral Surgery and Implants to its network.
5. NADG appoints new CEO
Pittsburgh-based North American Dental Group tapped Jonathan Walker to be the organization's CEO. Mr. Walker, NADG's chief financial officer, succeeds Ken Cooper, an NADG co-founder who has led the company since its inception in 2008.
6. Guardian Dentistry Partners gets $100M+ financing, set to announce 20+ new partnerships
Miami-based Guardian Dentistry Partners has secured more than $100 million in debt financing from Chicago-based Twin Brook Capital Partners. Guardian is set to announce new partnerships with nearly 30 dental practices in the coming months.
7. Cherry Tree Dental makes first out-of-state acquisition
Madison, Wis.-based Cherry Tree Dental acquired an Illinois practice, its first affiliation outside of Wisconsin.
8. Imagen Dental Partners enters 8th state, plans to enter 6 more: 5 things to know
Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners has expanded into California, its eighth state, with the addition of Scripps Rock Dental and Schaffer Dental Excellence. The organization will continue its expansion into 2022, including plans to partner with practices in Texas, Ohio, Florida, Michigan, Kentucky and Indiana.
9. MB2 Dental adds 2 vice presidents of business development
Carrollton, Texas-based dental partnership organization MB2 Dental onboarded Joseph Fox and Michael Gans as vice presidents of business development.
10. 42 North Dental adds chief development officer
Waltham, Mass.-based DSO 42 North Dental appointed Sharon Korzan as chief development officer.
11. NADG shakes up executive team with new CFO, IT leaders
Pittsburgh-based North American Dental Group has promoted Stephen Castles to CFO and made two additional appointments to boost information technology security. Mr. Castles, previously the DSO's vice president of finance and corporate development, replaces Jonathan Walker, who was appointed CEO Sept. 8. Dan Romary, formerly vice president of data analytics and enterprise applications, was promoted to chief information officer. North American Dental Group also hired Jim Nelms to be its first chief information security officer.
12. Endo1 Partners secures $250M debt facility this year, set to surpass growth goal
Houston-based Endo1 Partners has secured an additional debt facility to expand its platform. The Sept. 27 transaction brings the organization's total amount of capital raised in the last 12 months to $250 million. The group expects to surpass its goal of partnering with more than 100 new dental surgical specialists by the end of 2021.
13. Straumann, Aspen Dental partnership will offer dental, prosthetic solutions to 1K+ locations
Switzerland-based Straumann Group and Chicago-based Aspen Dental Management have partnered to offer dental implants and prosthetic solutions to more than 1,000 U.S. locations. The partnership includes Aspen Dental, along with ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, both of which are under Aspen Dental Management.
