19 DSO leadership appointments this year

Several DSOs have shifted leadership with new additions to continue steering their organizations toward growth and guiding their partner practices.

Here are 19 DSO leadership appointments that have taken place this year:

1. Camp Hill, Pa.-based Progressive Dental Concepts appointed Stephen Canis, DMD, as its chief dental officer.
2. Lexington, Ky.-based Pepperpointe Partnerships named David North its new chief operating officer.
3. Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental made three executive appointments: Vivek Kumar as chief credit officer, Eric Royal as chief compliance officer and Keith Kooman as vice president of financial planning and analysis.
4. Carmel, Ind.-based Vista Verde Dental Partners welcomed Jill Cruz as its director of operations.
5. Pittsburgh-based North American Dental Group added Julie Penn as its first chief growth officer, Shawn Blake as its next chief operating officer and Keith Carrington as its chief compliance and privacy officer.
6. Miami-based Guardian Dentistry Partners named Chris Carlisle as general counsel and Andrea Garson as chief people officer. It also selected Robert Papenbrock as its vice president of finance.
7. Chicago-based Elite Dental Partners appointed Trish Keena as its director of dental hygiene.
8. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Services Management introduced Gordon Brady, DMD, and Vincent Montgomery, DMD, as newcomers to its clinical governance board.
9. Waltham, Mass.-based 42 North Dental selected former CVS Health executive Johnny Khouri as its new chief operating officer.
10. Louisville, Ky.-based Mortenson Dental Partners named Britt Bostick, DDS, its chief dental officer.
11. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental hired Stacy DeWalt to be its chief marketing officer and executive vice president.
12. Morrisville, N.C.-based Affordable Care added Marybeth Hays to its board of directors.
13. Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners selected Leigh Feenburg to be its next CEO.
14. Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sage Dental tapped Mark Brockelman to be its senior vice president and chief financial officer.
