1. MB2 adds 300th practice, enters 30th state
Dallas-based MB2 Dental added its 300th affiliated practice and, separately, also entered Maryland, its 30th state.
2. DSO leader reappointed to Dental Board of California
Rosalinda Olague, senior manager of dental assistant strategy and university relations for Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services, was reappointed to the Dental Board of California by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
3. Absolute Dental opens practice in Nevada
Las Vegas-based Absolute Dental Group opened a new dental practice.
4. Aspen Dental opens 23rd location in Wisconsin
Aspen Dental opened a new location in Marinette, Wis., marking its 23rd in the state.
5. NADG partners with Illinois pediatric dental group
Pittsburgh-based North American Dental Group partnered with Grandwood Park, Ill.-based Affiliated Dental Specialists, a pediatric dental group.
6. Beacon Dental Health affiliates with 2 Boston practices
Boston-based Oliver Dental Associates and Downtown Boston Dental affiliated with Boston-based Beacon Dental Health.
7. Why a recent dental grad chose to join a DSO: 3 notes
Yonathan Nigatu, DDS, shared with Becker's why he chose to join Aspen Dental after graduating from Nashville, Tenn.-based Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in 2018.
8. USOSM taps 2 dental leaders to join clinical governance board
Irving, Texas-based dental management company U.S. Oral Services Management introduced Gordon Brady, DMD, and Vincent Montgomery, DMD, as newcomers to its clinical governance board.
9. Florida dental practice joins North American Dental Group
North American Dental Group added Jacksonville, Fla.-based Paul Hinder, DDS, to its list of affiliated dental practices.
10. Massachusetts DSO with 23 practices joins Heartland Dental
Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental announced a strategic transaction with Wakefield, Mass.-based American Dental Partners that will create a network of more than 2,300 dentists across 38 states.
11. 42 North Dental names new COO
Waltham, Mass.-based 42 North Dental selected former CVS Health executive Johnny Khouri as its new chief operating officer.
12. Empire acquires Palladino DDS
Mentor, Ohio-based Empire Dental Arts acquired Palladino DDS & Associates, a 30-year-old practice in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
13. Aspen Dental Management earns education designation from Academy of General Dentistry
Chicago-based Aspen Dental Management earned the "Program Approval for Continuing Education" designation from the Academy of General Dentistry. Approved program providers can offer credit hours that can be applied toward the AGD's fellowship and mastership award programs.
14. North American Dental Group taps new COO
Pittsburgh-based North American Dental Group tapped Shawn Blake to be the organization's new chief operating officer.
15. Western Dental opens 234th California practice
Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental & Orthodontics opened a new office in Atwater, Calif.
16. Dental365 partners with Pearl to streamline clinical care
New York City-based Dental365 partnered with Los Angeles-based Pearl, a dental AI and computer vision solutions company, for efficiency, accuracy, transparency and patient care.
17. Western Dental's new strategy: A global partnership for dental implant expansion
Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental & Orthodontics partnered with dental implant maker Straumann Group, which will provide Western Dental's 333 offices with implants, abutments and crowns.
18. US Oral Surgery Management enters Florida market
Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management partnered with WestShore OMS Specialists, an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in southwest Florida, the special management services company's first partner in the state.
19. Aspen Dental opens 13th Virginia practice
Led by Robert Banks, DMD, Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened its 13th practice in the state of Virginia.
20. Mortenson Dental Partners taps chief dental officer
Louisville, Ky.-based Mortenson Dental Partners named Britt Bostick, DDS, its chief dental officer.
21. Deca Dental, Align extend agreement through 2025
San Jose, Calif.-based Align Technology and Dallas-based DECA Dental Group extended their relationship with a new multiyear agreement for the Invisalign system through early 2025.
