Effingham, Ill.-based DSO Heartland Dental inked a four-year contract extension with Envista Holdings, a global supplier of dental products including implants, consumables, infection prevention and imaging technology.
"[Heartland's] focus on supporting clinicians at every step in their professional career aligns well with our shared purpose of partnering with dental professionals to improve lives and help provide more patients with access to quality dental care," Amir Aghdaei, CEO of Envista, said in a Feb. 16 news release.
Envista will continue to supply products to dentists in Heartland's network, which supports more than 1,150 offices and 1,800 dentists across 38 states. Last year, the DSO supported more than 150 new offices and added more than 100 dentists.
Heartland's growth strategy for 2021 centers on expanding its de novo and single-office affiliations.
The DSO's affiliation team is working with brokers, investment bankers and financial advisers as well as doctor owners to explore transition strategies for dental clients.
