Western Dental promoted Patricia Himpelmann to senior vice president of specialty services, the DSO said Oct. 27.
Ms. Himpelmann joined Western Dental — which comprises 325 dental offices in California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Alabama — in 2015 as vice president of soft tissue management. In that role, she led an oral hygiene program and recruited and deployed nearly 150 hygienists across the network.
Her promotion widens her role to include management of operational support for all dental specialties, including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry.
"Patti is a determined and capable builder and leader who accomplishes whatever she sets out to do," Daniel Crowley, Western Dental's chairman and CEO, said in a news release. "She has significantly expanded the capabilities of our organization to serve patient dental needs, and we are confident that she will bring her considerable skills and knowledge to growing and supporting our capabilities in specialty dentistry as well."
