1. Founder, former CEO of Mortenson Dental Partners retires. Wayne Mortenson, DMD, who founded Mortenson Dental Partners with his wife, said he will retire from the DSO Sept. 30.

3. Kentucky-based DSO launches new alternative to dental insurance. Louisville, Ky.-based Mortenson Dental Partners launched Smiles360, a dental savings club that aims to provide an affordable alternative to dental insurance.

5. MB2 Dental enters 17th state. Carrollton, Texas-based MB2 Dental expanded into Michigan, the 17th state the dental partnership organization has reached.
6. North American Dental Group dismisses WHO recommendation. Pittsburgh-based dental service organization North American Dental Group released a response to the World Health Organization's recent recommendation that patients delay routine dental care until the pandemic is under control, saying it "strongly disagrees" with the guidance.
