Delta Dental of Illinois's charitable arm awarded more than $255,000 to 16 organizations across the state that work to improve children's oral health.
Through its Community Grants Program, Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation provided the organizations with grants from $7,585 to $20,000.
"Many Illinoisans face considerable barriers to getting the oral health care they need. These disparities continue to grow, especially with the ongoing pandemic," Lora Vitek, executive director of Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, said in a news release. "Through our Community Grants Program, we’re working to help eliminate these barriers by partnering with organizations across our state who work tirelessly to ensure Illinois children have access to quality health care."
The Community Grants Program has awarded funding to organizations since 2012, providing more than $1.25 million.
