Henry Schein has purchased Italian dental practice management software company Elite Computer Italia, according to a July 16 news release.
The deal was part of Henry Schein One's strategy to provide integrated technology platforms to dental teams. Elite's management team along with CEO Gianluigi Boerio and President of Research and Development Marco Parodi will join Henry Schein One.
Henry Schein One will support all current Elite products following the acquisition. Elite will also maintain its OrisLine brand.
Elite has around 50 employees that serve more than 8,000 dental clinics and laboratories. In 2018, the company's sales reached $6 million.
Henry Schein expects the acquisition to be neutral on the company's 2019 earnings per diluted share. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
