Heartland Dental added 100 practices in 2018 — A year in review

Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental achieved various milestones in 2018, including adding the 900th practice to its network.

Throughout the year, the dental service organization welcomed 100 practices though new acquisitions and new constructed buildings. In December 2018, Heartland Dental crossed the threshold of 900 supported offices.

Here are a few key achievements Heartland Dental made throughout the years:

1. Supported practices were among industry leaders to deploy digital scanners.

2. Heartland Dental installed more than 900 digital intra-oral scanners in 91 percent of its supported dental offices.

3. More than 90 percent of the DSO's 1,400 supported dentists offered Invisalign.

4. In the spring of 2018, Heartland Dental finalized its KKR investment. The private equity company became the lead investor in the DSO.

5. In total, Heartland Dental donated more than $2 million to charitable organizations and in free dental care.
